Ecostead was born out of a shared vision: to create communities in Jamaica that are
more than just housing developments. We believe in building spaces where families can
thrive surrounded by green edible landscapes, modern infrastructure, and opportunities
for long-term growth.
The idea took root during the pandemic, when the need for healthy living, food security,
and community connection became more urgent than ever. Inspired by these values and our shareholders,
Ecostead Development Ltd. was established in Portland, starting with our flagship
project Ecostead at Norwich.

Leadership Team
Claudia Davis – Founder & CEO
Since 2008, Claudia Davis has been a leader in Jamaica’s real estate industry, consistently ranked as a top producer and trusted advisor. With expertise spanning sales, construction, and financial management, she is passionate about helping Jamaicans and diaspora buyers achieve homeownership. Claudia is also the author of The Ultimate Guide to Homeownership in Jamaica and is guided by her motto: “Be great to yourself, Buy Real Estate.” At Ecostead, she drives the company’s vision of creating sustainable communities that combine housing, wellness, and food security.
Michael George Archer, PE – Director & Consulting Engineer
A registered engineer with over 40 years of experience, Michael has managed some of Jamaica’s most significant infrastructure and housing projects, from highways and bridges to large-scale subdivisions and wastewater systems. He has held leadership roles with the Jamaica Institution of Engineers and the Incorporated Master Builders of Jamaica. At Ecostead, Michael ensures that every project is designed and built to world-class standards, with a strong focus on resilience and sustainability.
Heron Bennett – Director (Construction & Development Strategy)
Founder and CEO of Joshron Construction Limited, Heron has grown his firm from a small operation into a major construction company employing over 50 professionals. He has delivered residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects across Jamaica, known for integrity, timely delivery, and attention to detail. Guided by his principle “Constructing your dreams, building your happiness,” Heron brings invaluable construction expertise and strategic vision to Ecostead’s developments.
Ann-Marie Davis – Director (Community & Care Development)
Ann-Marie Davis has over two decades of leadership experience in social care in the UK. As a Registered Manager, she has overseen teams, implemented quality standards, and developed programs for seniors and vulnerable groups. At Ecostead, she leads the integration of senior-friendly housing, wellness amenities, and community services, ensuring developments support residents of all ages with dignity and care.
